4-3 Final.

Well, the Buds almost tied it up in the dying seconds, but they fell to the Flames 4-3. Once again the team didn’t roll over and die which was a good sign. While I wouldn’t call it a “slow start”, it certainly wasn’t their best game. Phaneuf was by far the best player on the ice and he took control of this game. I think these were the types of games the leaf brass spoke of in the off-season and the pre-season. Close but not cigar.

This game didn’t fall on Schenn’s shoulders, however he wasn’t as good as he has been. It will be interesting to see how he bounces back.

One response to “4-3 Final.

  1. “He wasn’t as good as he has been” is an understatement. Schenn was awful tonight. But that’s fine. Growing pains. And he’s playing in front of friends and family, so there was likely extra pressure on him. You’re right, it will be interesting to see how he bounces back.
