Games like last night could cost the Blue Jays Burnett

When this season is over and a player like AJ Burnett bolts, before Jay fan freaks out and calls him a traitor they should think back to games like last night.

AJ pitched a great game. Carried a shutout till the late innings until giving up a 2 run shot to the Devil Rays.

No worries, Jays were down by a run with a runner on 3rd and only 1 out. Rod Barajas stepped to the plate and swung at literally ever pitch thrown at him before grounding out. Then Alex Rios came up and proceeded to strike out in another brutal at bat.

Its these types of performances that are going to kill the Jays in the long run. Both or in this case either Barajas or Rios have to produce there. Their inability do so should land them on the bench today.

If Cito makes players as accountable as Roy Halladay suggest we should see a different look today….
